Merciful hour, this is a cracking cast.

Star royalty is expected to grace the streets of Dublin early next year for filming of blockbuster 'The Miracle Club'. Directed by Irishman Thaddeus O’Sullivan (he of 'December Bride' and 'Silent Witness' fame), the film will star Maggie Smith, Kathy Bates, Laura Linney, and Claire Danes as a group of Dublin women who plan on heading off to Lourdes for a bit of an auld pray - let's just hope that their OIRISH accents are all up to par.

The group of riotous working-class women will pilgrimage to Lourdes, which leads them to discover each other’s joy and friendship, in a feel-good movie that you'll be happy to take your mother along to when it gets released.

'The Miracle Club' film is based on a screenplay by Jimmy Smallhorne, entitled 'Pushers Needed', and was first put into motion way back in 2004.

According to Variety, the film seems to be in very capable hands, with O'Sullivan managing to secure an impressive team. The production will be produced by Chris Curling ('Falling' and 'The Keeper'), Josh Maurer ('Papillon'), and Alixandre Witlin ('Howards End'), with James Flynn ('Vikings' and 'Penny Dreadful') serving as executive producer.

Maurer said: "At its heart, this film captures the strength, resilience and love of remarkable woman as they define themselves under their own terms, and by the power of their friendship and faith."

Be sure to look out for the stars when 'The Miracle Club' starts principal photography in Dublin next April, with a theatrical release date expected to be in 2022.
