With 'The Lion King' having just hit cinemas this weekend, we're ranking the main Disney live-action remakes that we've seen so far.

Some of the biggest money makers so far for Disney have included 'The Jungle Book', which made $966 million worldwide, and 'Beauty and the Beast', which made $1.264 billion.

Most attribute Tim Burton's 'Alice in Wonderland' with inspiring the trend in 2010. However arguably, they started being made back in 1996 with '101 Dalmatians' starring Glenn Close.

We looked at the live-action remakes that are most renowned. We excluded sequels like '102 Dalmatians' and 'Alice Through the Looking Glass'.
