Sony has announced that the 'Spider-Man' spin-off movie 'Morbius' has had its cinematic release postponed, again.
The superhero (anti-hero?) movie was originally meant to hit cinemas last year in blockbuster season. Its original release date was July 31, 2020.
It was then resheduled to March 19, 2021. Obviously, with prospects not looking great for cinemas in the next couple of months, it was postponed again.
It will now hit cinemas on October 8, 2021. So right on time for Halloween.
Daniel Espinosa ('Life', 'Safe House') is the director behind 'Morbius', which sees a a biochemist turn himself into a vampire after attempting to cure his rare blood disease.
The cast also includes Matt Smith, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson.
The film is now set to hit cinemas after the summer release date of 'Venom: Let There Be Carnage', though the sequel's release date could change too.
Currently, Sony has their 'Cinderella' take starring Camila Cabello scheduled for release in cinemas next month, but this is likely to change, or the film may go to on demand.
Likewise with 'Kingsman' prequel 'The King's Man', which has a release date of March 12.
