Keanu Reeves is currently filming 'The Matrix 4'. And it looks like he has a new hairstyle for the job.

The actor was snapped sporting a buzzcut hairstyle for the movie.

He returns as Neo in the upcoming sequel, but we've no plot details for it just yet.

According to 'insiders', there were deliveries of slime to the set in Berlin.

This would indicate there will be a recreation of the "rebirth" scene in the first 'Matrix' which saw Neo awaken in the "real world" completely bald after taking the red pill. His hair grew back through the course of the movie.

Here's a reminder.

Here's Keanu Reeves and his new cut (I mean, the man can pull off any style, really).

Lana Wachowski (co-creator and co-director of the franchise with her sister Lilly) will direct the new 'Matrix' sequel.

She's writing the script with sci-fi authors David Mitchell ('Cloud Atlas' - the film adaptation of which the Wachowskis also directed) and Aleksandor Hemon ('The Lazarus Project').

Carrie-Anne Moss is back as Trinity while Jada Pinkett Smith returns as Niobe.

Lambert Wilson and Daniel Bernhardt reprise their roles as The Merovingian and Agent Johnson, respectively.

New cast additions include Yahya Abdul-Mateen II in a lead role (believed to be Morpheus), Jessica Henwick, Neil Patrick Harris and Jonathon Groff.

'The Matrix 4' will open in cinemas on December 22, 2021.
