Harry Styles as Elvis Presley? It could happen - and no, we're not talking about a celebrity edition of 'Stars in Their Eyes'.

The former One Direction man, whose only other acting role was in Christopher Nolan's 'Dunkirk', is reportedly one of the names in the running to play the icon in Baz Luhrmann's new biopic.

Ansel Elgort, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Miles Teller and Austin Butler are also in the frame and have tested for the role, according to THR.

With 'Bohemian Rhapsody' and 'Rocketman' doing big business at the box office, Luhrmann's take on Presley's life story will be filmed in his native Australia.

Tom Hanks has already been attached to the project as Elvis's manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Luhrmann's as-yet-untitled film is believed to focus heavily on their relationship.

The lead role will be filled in the coming weeks, so watch this space...
