Lady Gaga has dropped the full song ‘Shallow’ from ‘A Star is Born’, which had only been teased previously.

She teased another number from the movie, ‘Is That Alright?’, earlier this week.

The song ‘Shallow’ sees her duet with Bradley Cooper for what is the latter’s directorial debut.

Gaga plays a struggling singer-songwriter in the movie while Cooper is a country music star who helps her make a career in the music business.

The movie has been getting huge acclaim all around since its premiere at the Venice International Film Festival, where it received an eight minute standing ovation.

We saw the film yesterday and had to immediately give it a five star review. Reviewer Deirdre Molumby described it as “the new definitive Hollywood story” and “an emotional rollercoaster” with “spectacular performances” from Gaga and Cooper.

The official synopsis for the movie reads:

“In this new take on the tragic love story, [Cooper] plays seasoned musician Jackson Maine, who discovers—and falls in love with—struggling artist Ally (Gaga). She has just about given up on her dream to make it big as a singer... until Jack coaxes her into the spotlight.

“But even as Ally’s career takes off, the personal side of their relationship is breaking down, as Jack fights an ongoing battle with his own internal demons.”

‘A Star is Born’ hits Irish cinemas next Friday on October 3rd.
