Bryan Singer has thanked The Hollywood Foreign Press for awarding 'Bohemian Rhapsody' two wins at the 76th Golden Globes.

Even though he was very publicly fired from the set of 'Bohemian Rhapsody,' Bryan Singer was still credited as the director due to union rules. Following repeated absences from set, as well as complaining he was tired a lot of the time, Singer would up and leave set without any notice. The director is also believed to have had an argument with leading man Rami Malek.

After weeks of this work ethic, Singer declared that he needed several weeks of leave, due to his "gravely ill" mother in New Jersey. He was spotted in L.A. just days later.

Byran Singer was replaced by 'Eddie The Eagle' director Dexter Fletcher to finish filming the final couple of weeks, with Singer only being stripped of his Producer title in the Freddie Mercury biopic.

Fast forward to 2019, and 'Bohemian Rhapsody' has performed very well at the recent Golden Globes. The biopic earned itself Best Film (drama), while Rami Malek won Best Actor (drama). It's important to note that Singer was absent from the awards ceremony, and was left out of being thanked in either speech.

Ignoring this, Singer has taken to his Instagram to thank The Hollywood Foreign Press. He said in his post, "What an honour. Thank you #HolllywoodForeignPress".

Bryan Singer also preempted an 'Esquire' article that he claimed would "tarnish" his career late last year. Singer was making reference to an alleged sexual assault case against him.

However, all of this bad publicity hasn't seemed to had an effect on his directing career; he has recently been announced as the director of comic-book adaptation 'Red Sonja.'
