This one could run and run... and we may still never know who was responsible. But it sure is fun to speculate.

As you may recall, yesterday a very juicy story broke about an unnamed actress who bit Beyonce in the face - and at the afterparty of a Jay-Z gig, nonetheless. It was first recounted to GQ by Tiffany Haddish and Chrissy Teigen soon jumped on board to confirm that she also knew who did it.

Now, The Cut has managed to narrow down a shortlist of the potential culprits, naming people at the party as Rihanna, James Franco, French Montana, Queen Latifah, G-Eazy, Diddy, Sara Foster, Jen Meyer, and Sanaa Lathan.

Of that bunch, the four actresses are Rihanna, Queen Latifah, Foster and Lathan - but both Rihanna and Queen Latifah are friends of Beyonce's.

Foster has since denied the accusation:

 

Flattering that anyone thinks I could get this close to Beyoncé.

Other names that have been floated include Jennifer Lawrence, but Vulture claims that she was in New York at the time of the alleged biting incident.

So looks like either someone is lying, or we're back where we started - unless Chrissy Teigen 'fesses up...
