Time to jump back into the whirlpool of 'Serial' theories, all thanks to HBO's latest true-crime documentary series.
If like everyone else, you were completely obsessed with 'Serial', you'll know that the story is still unfolding to this day.
More to the point, 'Serial' was just one part of it and not the full, complete telling of it. Almost eighteen years after the murder of Hae Min Lee and Adnan Syed's conviction, the case has reopened again after the Maryland Court of Special Appeals upheld an order for a new trial into Lee's murder.
HBO's 'The Case Against Adnan Syed' was first announced in May 2018, less than three months after the Maryland decision, and dives back into the murky waters of Syed's conviction, the impact 'Serial' had on the case, and what exactly happened to Hae Min Lee.
The four-part series will track both the original investigation, Syed and Lee's relationship in high school, what 'Serial' got right and got wrong, and what the new trial will look into and how it relates to Adnan Syed's conviction.
Basically, be prepared to have your 'Serial' obsession back in full flow. 'The Case Against Adnan Syed' debuts on HBO on March 10th, with an air date soon thereafter on Sky Atlantic.
