Will Smith may be rolling in it these days but back in 1989, he was staring down the barrel of bankruptcy following the flop of his and Jazzy Jeff's second album.
Following some advice from his then girlfriend, Will Smith found himself over in Quincy Jones house where the head of NBC and others were all talk of a new TV pilot they wanted Will to star in.
Speaking in his latest YouTube STORYTIME clip, Smith talks about how he only had ten minutes to prepare for his first audition for The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air but clearly nailed it as contracts were drawn up there and then. Three months later, filming of the show began and sure the rest is history.
