Even better, 'Impeachment' will be produced by Monica Lewinsky herself
We know one person who'll be tuning in gleefully to the new series of 'American Crime Story'.
Here's a hint: he's blonde, orange, sits in a non-circular office.
That's because following 'The People vs OJ Simpson: ACS' and 'The Assassination of Gianni Versace: ACS' it's been announced that the forthcoming series will focus on the Bill Clinton scandal.
Even better, 'Impeachment: American Crime Story' will be produced by none other than Monica Lewinsky, the White House intern who was embroiled in the scandal in 1998.
Sarah Paulson, Beanie Feldstein and Annaleigh Ashford will star in the series, which will debut in autumn 2020. There's no word yet on who will play Clinton himself.
Lewinsky told 'Vanity Fair' that she was hesitant to get on board the series until she had dinner with creator Ryan Murphy.
"People have been co-opting and telling my part in this story for decades," she said. "In fact, it wasn't until the past few years that I've been able to fully reclaim my narrative; almost 20 years later.
"But I'm so grateful for the growth we've made as a society that allows people like me who have been historically silenced to finally reintroduce my voice to the conversation. This isn't just a me problem. Powerful people, often men, take advantage of those subordinate to them in myriad ways all the time. Many people will see this as such a story and for that reason, this narrative is one that is, regretfully, evergreen."
Some of the reactions to news of the series have been pretty amusing...
