Jean-Luc Picard is returning to TV after 25 years with 'Star Trek: Picard'.
The final episode of 'Star Trek: The Next Generation', aptly titled 'All Good Things...', first aired on TV in 1994.
Since then, Jean Luc-Picard has turned up in four movies, but it's only now that he's finally returning to television screens. It was confirmed yesterday evening on Twitter that the upcoming spin-off series 'Star Trek: Picard' will be available in Ireland and the UK - but only if you have Amazon Prime Video.
#StarTrek: Picard will stream exclusively on @CBSAllAccess in the United States, on Amazon #PrimeVideo in more than 200 countries and territories and in Canada on Bell Mediaโs @SpaceChannel and OTT service @CraveCanada. @StarTrekCBS @primevideouk https://t.co/f3mVPY449M pic.twitter.com/iDrmtDiQLg

Previously, 'Star Trek: Discovery' was available on Netflix the day after it aired on CBS All Access and the general assumption is that 'Star Trek: Picard' would have been the same. Other than confirming the series' title and how it'll be made available, there's not much else confirmed.
We know already that the cast is shaping up nicely, with the likes of Alison Pill, 'Penny Dreadful' alum Harry Treadaway and 'Law & Order: SVU' star Michelle Hurd set to join the cast, but their roles are pretty much unspecified. We also know that the series will pick up 18 years after the events of 'Star Trek: Nemesis', but other than that, not much else.
'Star Trek: Picard' is expected to arrive on Amazon Prime Video in late 2019.
