Uh-oh.

'Sex & The City' has long been one of HBO's most popular early efforts, up there with the likes of 'The Sopranos', 'Curb Your Enthusiasm', and has always been the subject of reboot rumours for years since it finished its TV run.

After all, a third movie was planned but was then shelved when the group drama became too much and was unable to secure everyone's involvement. However, Page Six is reporting that HBO Max are now exploring ways to bring the show back for a new season.

The report seems to suggest that it would be a limited series event, and not a full reboot, but the details are light at best. One person, however, who won't be returning is Kim Cattrall - who played Samantha Jones in the series and the two movies that followed.

Cattrall has been adamant for the past few years that she wants no part in any reboot or any future sequel, so you have to wonder whether they'll recast her or simply write her out of the series altogether. Sarah Michelle Parker, who played Carrie Bradshaw, has been far more receptive to the idea in the past.

In September of this year, Parker told ET that she couldn't help but wonder what a "revisit, not a reboot" of the series might look. "I’d like to see where all of them are. I’m curious, the world has changed even since the movie… technology and social media... I think Carrie Bradshaw would just be so greedy to share her feelings and thoughts."

So far, HBO Max hasn't yet addressed the rumours or Parker's statements, so who's to say if it's real or not?
