This is a true story, not a strange one
The cast of FX's fifth instalment in the crime/dark comedy series boasts quite a cast.
Joe Keery of 'Stranger Things' fame has joined 'Fargo season five, rounding out a very impressive line-up.
Keery has become an eagerly sought-after actor in Hollywood of late, thanks in part to the U-turn his character Steve Harrington has made on the Netflix series, turning from the unlikeable jock to the lovable father figure to the younger cast. The 30-year-old joins the 'Fargo' cast as a character named Gator Tillman.
The newest Noah Hawley creation for FX, which is based on the Coen Brothers' film of the same name starring Francis McDormand, also stars Jon Hamm, Juno Temple and Jennifer Jason Leigh. Two more actors will join the main cast alongside Keery, with Lamorne Morris ('New Girl') Richa Moorjani ('Never Have I Ever') rounding out the cast.
Although the fifth entry in the crime anthology series was announced back in February, we still don't know much about the plot except for this brief excerpt: "When is a kidnapping not a kidnapping, and what if your wife isn’t yours?"
The newest season will also be the most contemporary setting for the series, with the action set to take place in 2019.
Apart from joining 'Fargo' season five, Joe Keery has had starring roles in the Ryan Reynolds action film 'Free Guy' as well as 'Black Mirror' creator Charlie Brooker's satirical look back at two abysmal years in history - 'Death to 2020' and 'Death to 2021'.
Watch the first three seasons of 'Fargo' on Netflix. Season four starring Chris Rock and Jessie Buckley was available for a limited time on TG4 and Channel 4.
