In news that shocked many last June, Ant McPartlin announced that he was struggling with a severe painkiller addiction for the last couple of years and made the brave decision to seek help through rehab.

He was and still is supported by fans and of course his partner in crime, Declan Donnelly, and while it has previously been announced that Ant would definitely be back to co-host I'm A Celebrity, it seems that filming has now been delayed as he continues his recovery.

According to The Sun, production for the next series has been put on hold along with a big-budget promo shoot they were set to do this week.

A source said, "It would have been the first day filming but with Ant away, there is no way they could get started."

Ant has already left rehab and headed to LA last week with his agent Paul Worsley to further his recovery. "He’s gone to get away from the spotlight", the source added. "He’s in recovery and it’s important he has time and space.

"Paul’s gone to provide support. He is one of his closest friends."

Here's hoping Ant is making a great recovery and will be back on our screens again in no time.
