The 70th Annual Emmy Awards took place in Los Angeles last night as the who's who of TV land arrived decked out in their Sunday best to see who would be going home with a gong.
One person everyone was delighted to see win (well, besides marriage proposing Glenn Weiss) was Henry Winkler, who at 72, managed to scoop his first Emmy more than 40 years after he received his first nomination.
That was of course for his iconic role as Fonzie on hit 1970s show 'Happy Days'. His former co-star, director Ron Howard, was on-hand to celebrate with him too, tweeting the below picture:

Howard and Winkler starred together for seven seasons (Winkler stayed for all 11 seasons) on the classic ABC sitcom as friends Richie Cunningham and Arthur “Fonzie” Fonzarelli.
Winkler was nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award three times in his role as Fonzie, and was nominated a further two times for a guest actor Emmy in a drama for 'The Practice', and another for guest actor in a comedy for 'Battery Park'.
The actor's first win last night was for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series for his performance as renowned acting coach Gene Cosineau on HBO’s 'Barry', which also saw Bill Hader pick up the Emmy for Lead Actor in a Comedy Series.
