Its star and exec producer Nicole Kidman confirmed the news
Good news for all you 'Big Little Lies' fans out there. Work is going on behind the scenes to make season 3 a go.
Nicole Kidman, one of the stars of 'Big Little Lies' and an executive producer on the show, teased more episodes.
She currently stars in psychological thriller 'The Undoing' opposite Hugh Grant, and was promoting the series on iHeart Radio’s 'Jam Nation' podcast.
Liane Moriarty, who penned the book that season one is based on, is currently "working on a book" that will serve as the treatment for season 3.
Moriarty previously did the same thing for the show's second season.
Kidman says: "There’s a story being concocted.
"Our group of women all want to do it. It’s more the kernel of ideas that just need to be solidified."
It's not the first time the actress has hinted at more 'Big Little Lies' either.
In an interview with Marie Claire earlier this month, she said the cast and crew are all up for making another season.
She said: "Reese [Witherspoon] and I talk or text once a week. She’s just moved back to Nashville and we’re really close. We all just want to work together again.
"I texted Zoë [Kravitz] and Laura [Dern] and they’re in. [Writers] David [E. Kelley] and Liane have a really good idea for it. Watch this space!"
Watch this space indeed.
