The spooktacular TV classic is making a comeback.
'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?' was right in the middle of that formative era of TV horror.
You had that, 'Goosebumps', and maybe 'Freddy's Nightmares' or 'The Outer Limits' if you were a little older. The Midnight Society met around a campfire every night to tell horror stories to each other, all of it kicking off with sand of some kind thrown over the fire to kick things off.
However, the new series appears to be trying a different approach, as the three hour-long episodes for Nick appear to be telling just the one story - something called 'the Carnival of Doom' - which then begins to come to life after telling it.
As well as this, maybe it's just that we're older now, but the short teaser definitely looks a lot more scarier than we remember the original series. Maybe we're just wusses now in our (relative) old age.
No air date has been set for 'Are You Afraid Of The Dark?', but expect it to be some time around Halloween because, come on, perfect timing.
