Miley Cyrus has warned children not to pursue an acting career when they're young in a new interview with NOTION magazine.
Miley, who you'll remember was cast in Disney TV series 'Hannah Montana' when she was just 11, thinks kids should enjoy being young and carefree instead of having to cope with the pressures which comes with being a star, telling the magazine: 'People are like, 'What's your advice to young people that want to be actors?' And I'm like, 'Don't do it', because you need to enjoy being a kid. People don't realise, but with so many responsibilities you hold an entire company on your back.'
Miley - who's dominated the headlines this week because of her performance with Robin Thicke at the MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night - thinks the responsibility of being a teen star while representing a big company can be difficult to handle when you make a mistake which leads to thousands of complaints from viewers.
Miley - whose father is country singer Billy Ray Cyrus - explained: 'You're a kid so you're supposed to f*ck up. Then when you do, it's the head of the company that ends up getting letters from a thousand different people, and that all comes down on him, which then comes down on me. I don't think any kid should be responsible for their personal life representing a company as big as that.'
