As the news broke yesterday that Bill Cosby had been charged with sexual assault, celebrities felt compelled to take to Twitter to express their thoughts on the matter.
Notably, Judd Apatow was quick to respond, which isn't surprising given he's probably been the most vocal celebrity regarding Bill Cosby's alleged assaults since reports started circulating.
Bill Cosby has spent his life attempting to silence the women he has assaulted with threats, lawsuits and money. https://t.co/WQDSPbOc9f

Hopefully now many of these women will get to tell their stories in a court of law and the people who supported him will get deposed.

He then added...
Cosby's attorneys could do a better job walking him into the courthouse.

Apatow was of course making reference to Cosby's "perp" walk, which has since been teamed with The Cosby Show title music to great effect.
Amy Schumer had this to say in response to a fan who retweeted that youtube video...
Think @AmySchumer hit the nail on the head with this one. https://t.co/xcoMwYJFYr

Thank you! It's all so awful! https://t.co/eEDk3ywG6M

As for other celebs stateside...
Was gonna Tweet something about Bill Cosby & immediately got tired. He's sunk below cheap shots. He needs to never have existed.

Did Bill Cosby plead "dra-bizzle" or "not dra-bizzle"? News isn't saying.

When I was a kid, and you heard the word "Cosby" and "booking" ... it was in reference to him doing stand up in Cleveland. #smh #speechless

Impossible to feel anything but sad at the downfall of Bill Cosby due to his own awfulness.

Kind of hoping for an OJ style low-speed car chase as police try to arrest Cosby.
