But he's been invited to do a new version in a more "suitable location"
The street artist is encouraging those on the London Underground to wear face masks.
Banksy's coronavirus artwork has been removed for the London Underground's Circle line by Transport For London staff.
In the video posted on his Instagram profile, Banksy does a number of artworks on an empty London Underground carriage. Depicting his now-elusive London rat, the artwork sees his character in a number of different positions, from using the mask as a parachute, to not using one at all and sneezing all over the carriage window.
To top it all off, the Bristol-based artist stencilled his name into the driver's door while a fascinated commuter (wearing a face mask) looks on.
"I get lockdown, but I get up again."
Banksy created a Chumbawamba-themed #COVID19 display in the London underground. The title is an apparent reference to people fighting against mask policies: "If you don't mask - you don't get.”

In response to the new Banksy coronavirus artwork, TFL managed to remove the graffiti a number of days ago as it was in violation of the company's "strict anti-graffiti policy".
However, it's not all bad news as they have invited the street artist back as according to CNN they liked "the sentiment of encouraging people to wear face coverings". TFL has now offered "Banksy the chance to do a new version of his message for our customers in a suitable location."
