Ahead of season 4, we're looking back on the Netflix drama
'The Crown' debuted back in 2016 and since then has proven to be one of Netflix's most popular shows.
So beloved is the series in fact that though it was announced the series was going to be cut short by a season, such was the outcry that the decision was reversed. Thus 'The Crown' will have six seasons in total, the latter two taking the historical drama into the 21st century.
The first two seasons saw Claire Foy play Queen Elizabeth, Matt Smith play Prince Philip, and Vanessa Kirby play Princess Margaret. The series made household names of Foy and Kirby.
For the third and fourth seasons of 'The Crown', Olivia Colman takes overĀ as the Queen, Tobias Menzies as Prince Philip, and Helena Bonham Carter as Princess Margaret.
All have received high praise for their performances. The fourth season will see two much anticipated cast additions in Gillian Anderson as Margaret Thatcher and Emma Corrin as Diana Spencer.
The new season of 'The Crown' arrives on Netflix on Sunday, November 15th. Ahead of the debut, we're testing how closely you've been watching the series so far.
