There's been a "change of plans"
If the recent 'Home Sweet Home Alone' trailer didn't float your boat earlier in the week, then Disney+ has another holiday spectacular that will probably be more up your street this year.
There's a little more than a month to go until our next Marvel fix over on Disney+. The 'Hawkeye' series has got a new trailer ahead of its release this November, plus there's an extra Thanksgiving treat for fans, as it will now launch as a double-episode premiere.
That means that the six-episode series will all be wrapped up before Christmas Day, with the final episode arriving on the streaming service on Wednesday, December 22.
The new trailer for 'Hawkeye' reveals a little bit more information on what's going down for Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) in the run-up to Christmas. Giving off serious 'Die Hard' vibes, the former Marvel Avenger will have to team up with skilled archer Kate Bishop (Hailee Steinfeld) to unravel a criminal conspiracy.
Set in post-blip New York City, Barton has to get back to his family for Christmas. However, when a threat from his past shows up, so does the 22-year-old skilled archer (and his biggest fan), and the pair must work together in order to get out alive. Oh, and there appears to be a doggy helping them out too.
The action/comedy series also stars Vera Farmiga ('Bates Motel', 'The Conjuring') as Eleanor Bishop, Kate's mother, and Northern Irish actor Fra Fee ('Pixie', 'Boys From County Hell') who will play a mercenary named Kazi.
Florence Pugh is also expected to reprise her role as Yelena Belova from 'Black Widow', continuing the storyline which was set up at the end of the summer blockbuster.
Here's the new trailer for the series.
'Hawkeye' will now premiere with two episodes on Wednesday, November 24 on Disney+, followed by a new episode every Wednesday.
