Actress Esme Bianco says that she was in an abusive relationship with Manson in 2011
She may have made the news for her guitar-smashing escapades on Saturday Night Live last weekend, but now Phoebe Bridgers has weighed in on the Marilyn Manson controversy.
The 'Punisher' musician let fans know last week that she had first-hand experience of Manson's mindset, after visiting his house with friends when she was a teenager - where she said he referred to one room as 'the rape room'.
Now, in a new interview with CNN, she has denounced the actions of Manson's label Lomo Vista for dropping him once allegations came to light as 'performative activism'.
"I think it’s very funny that Marilyn Manson's label decided to drop him right when the story went public, and people have just known about it for so long," she said. "I find that very annoying. I think it’s a lot of performative activism, basically.”

Bridger's comments come in the wake of another actress, Esme Bianco, who has also made allegations of abuse against the rocker.
Bianco - best known for playing Ros in the early seasons of 'Game of Thrones' - told The Cut that Manson 'almost destroyed' her during their brief relationship in 2011, which included both psychological abuse and physical abuse. She says that Manson once cut her torso with a knife, and chased her around his house with an axe - which his assistant corroborated. He also told her what to wear, what to eat and when to sleep, she says.
“I basically felt like a prisoner,” she said. “I came and went at his pleasure. Who I spoke to was completely controlled by him. I called my family hiding in the closet."
Manson has not commented on the new allegations.
