The comedian had caused concern earlier in the day after a disturbing Instagram post.

Fans were relieved to see Pete Davidson alive and well on Saturday Night Live after a social media post had reportedly resulted in the NYPD calling to his home to check on his welfare. It’s been a tumultuous few months for Davidson who had a high-profile split from Ariana Grande.

“I’m doing my best to stay here for you but I actually don’t know how much longer I can last. All I’ve ever tried to do was help people. Just remember I told you so,” he had written before deleting all of his social media accounts.

Davidson looked and sounded well – and even sported a Christmas jumper – as he introduced Miley Cyrus’ performance of John Lennon and Yoko Ono’s ‘Happy Xmas (War is Over)’ which she performed alongside Mark Ronson and very special guest Sean Ono Lennon, son of John and Yoko.
