Morrissey has very much been in the wars this year, with the latest ailment afflicting the former Smiths crooner being a dose of concussion and whiplash, as well as an arm injury.

No details have been revealed as to how Moz suffered these injuries but he has now been discharged from Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles. A statement released on the singer's behalf stated: "Morrissey has now been discharged from Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles following treatment for concussion, whiplash and an arm injury. Morrissey would like to thank the medical staff at Cedars-Sinai for their 'outstanding level of care and attention'."

Morrissey was advised to quit touring by doctors earlier this year after a series of health setbacks curtailed a number of live dates. He has been struck down with severe pneumonia, a bleeding ulcer and Barrett's oesophagus in the past twelve months or so, leading to questions as to whether or not his career as a touring artist might be reaching its conclusion. Let's hope not, though - Moz is still one of music's most interesting and subversive characters.
