The Swedish musician has covered Gloria Gaynor's 1978 disco classic in her own unique style

It's safe to say that we've all been through a LOT this year already.

And if ever there was an anthem to pull us through and keep us thinking positively, it's 'I Will Survive'. Gloria Gaynor's timeless disco hit from 1978 may have been written about a romantic encounter, but it's also strangely apt for these unsettling times.

Now, Lykke Li has covered the classic song, and her stripped-back piano rendition of the track gives it a particularly haunting quality. In short, it's top-notch 'sad banger' fare.

It's also the first time we've heard from the Swedish star in a couple of years; her last studio album was 2018's 'So Sad So Sexy', although she released a remix EP 'Still Sad Still Sexy' last year.

While we're waiting for new material, this unexpected cover will do nicely.
