Mick Jagger may have welcomed his eighth child into the world in December 2016 at the age of 73, but one person who didn't quite approve was his bandmate Keith Richards.
Richards told The Wall Street Journal in an interview published the other day: "Mick’s a randy old bastard… It’s time for the snip—you can’t be a father at that age. Those poor kids!”
However, it seems that the Rolling Stones frontman - who is also a great-grandfather - may not have had as much of a sense of humour about the guitarist's comments, as Richards has now issued a statement through his publicist apologising for making them.
"I deeply regret the comments I made about Mick in the WSJ which were completely out of line," it read. "I have of course apologised to him in person.”
The Rolling Stones are, of course, due to play Croke Park on May 17th - but they may require separate dressing rooms, at this rate.
