OOF.

If you haven't yet read Dee Molumby's dissection of the dire 'Dark Phoenix', here's another helpful clue for you.

Currently, the movie now has an 18% score on Rotten Tomatoes. That's... bad. Really bad. In fact, it's the worst score in the entire 'X-Men' franchise. The nearest to this score is 'X-Men Origins: Wolverine', the dismal failure that nearly killed off Hugh Jackman's character for good.

Next up after that is 'X-Men: Apocalypse', which saw Oscar Isaac try to play one of the most terrifying villains in comic-book history - and failed miserably in the process. Christ, there was even a scene in that where Michael Fassbender destroyed a concentration camp with his mutant powers. Yeah, really.

Hell, even Brett Ratner's bland-as-hell threequel, 'X-Men: The Last Stand' scored better than 'Dark Phoenix' with 58%, and we're not even counting 'Once Upon A Deadpool' and its 51% score in all of this either.

In short, 'X-Men: Dark Phoenix' is a swirling mess and it's probably for the best that the X-Men franchise retires itself now and gets a reboot in the next four to five years.
