Fans and critics are loving the latest outing from Tom Holland as Spidey

We've a few weeks yet until 'Spider-Man Far From Home' hits screens. But the early word is it's great!

'Spider-Man Far From Home' sees Tom Holland take on the titular superhero for a fifth time.

The critically acclaimed 2017 feature 'Spider-Man Homecoming' was his first solo outing. This latest takes place pretty much immediately after the events of 'Avengers: Endgame.'

In 'Far From Home', Peter Parker, still in mourning, takes a long-earned break. He heads on a trip around Europe with his classmates and romance starts to bloom with MJ (Zendaya). However the holiday is cut short when Nick Fury (Samuel L Jackson) recruits Peter to team up with Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

The social media embargo for the film has now lifted and the first reactions are in.

Critics are calling 'Far From Home' one of the best Spider-Man movies ever made. They've also said it's a fitting follow-up to 'Endgame' and that Gyllenhaal - who can do no wrong - is note-perfect as Mysterio.

Here were some of the reactions from reviewers and fans on Twitter:

Apparently, the post credits scenes are unmissable.

'Spider-Man Far From Home' swings into Irish cinemas on Tuesday July 2nd.
