A new comedic whodunnit? Yes, please.
It's weirdly comforting to hear Saoirse Ronan with her Irish accent too.
The very first 'See How They Run' trailer has dropped, and we're quite excited to see how this one turns out.
The comedic whodunnit genre has been booming these past few years, with the likes of 'Knives Out' and 'Only Murders in the Building' tearing up cinema and TV screens of late. This new title, with Sam Rockwell as the lead, looks set to join the ranks of these incredibly popular franchises.
But it's not Sam who steals the show in this trailer, oh no, it's our very own Saoirse Ronan. Ronan will play an altogether very eager Constable in the film, attempting to go above and beyond her line of duty in order to help the Inspector (Rockwell) crack the case wide open.
Set in 1950s London, the film will see a murder committed in a West End theatre, and the pair are tasked with solving said unfortunate event; Imagine 'Knives Out' but set in 1950s London and you're on the right track.
The line of suspects are a star-studded bunch, with the secondary cast including Adrien Brody, Ruth Wilson, Harris Dickinson, David Oyelowo, Shirley Henderson, Sian Clifford, Jacob Fortune-Lloyd, Reece Shearsmith and Charlie Cooper.
In the West End of 1950s London, plans for a movie version of a smash-hit play come to an abrupt halt after a pivotal member of the crew is murdered. When world-weary Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and eager rookie Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) take on the case, the two find themselves thrown into a puzzling whodunit within the glamorously sordid theatre underground, investigating the mysterious homicide at their own peril.
'See How They Run' hits cinemas in September.
