It would be so fetch
Just days after Lindsay Lohan said she'd love to do 'Mean Girls 2', her co-star on the film - Rachel McAdams - has said she's up for it as well.
McAdams has gone on to star in 'The Time Traveller's Wife', 'About Time', 'True Detective' and 'Spotlight' in the years since the teen comedy. She even ventured into the Marvelverse, co-starring in 'Doctor Strange' (in which she was criminally underused). But like so many of us, the actress still has a soft spot for 'Mean Girls'.
McAdams recently took part in the 'Heroes of Health' livestream to thank health care workers for their fight against the ongoing crisis.
Responding to a fan query, she expressed great enthusiasm at the prospect of reprising that iconic character of Regina George.
"It would be fun to play Regina George later in her life and see where life took her!" she said.
She also said on the influence of the movie: “Let's hope 'Mean Girls' has helped girls to be nicer to each other, not the other way around."
“It's really bizarre. I feel really lucky to have been a part of something that’s stuck around, even a little bit. That was never anything I imagined happening in life. So yeah, it’s strange and surreal still,” she added.
She also spoke of her other iconic movie, 'The Notebook': "I remember after I did 'The Notebook', one of the people at the studios called me to say 'Congratulations. You know, it's a really beautiful film. I'm not going to make any money on it, I'm probably going to lose money on it. But I just wanted you to know that it's a really nice movie. And you should just feel good, even if it doesn't go anywhere.'
"That's the thing, you just never know how things will take off."

Last week, Lohan said: "I think I was hanging on to 'Mean Girls' for a really long time. I wanted to come back with a 'Mean Girls 2'. To work with Tina [Fey], and the whole crew again, and [director] Mark Waters. That was really what I wanted. I was excited to do that. But that’s all in their hands, really."
Of course, we're aware there's already been a sequel made with a different cast, but no one really acknowledges the existence of that one, right?
