Surprisingly, it's not 'Howard The Duck' or that weird '90s version of 'Fantastic Four' either.

Quentin Tarantino, believe it or not, has something of a history with Marvel.

For one, a lot of his movies contain nods and references to the comics, not to mention some of his scripts for the likes of Tony Scott as well. Yet, curiously, Tarantino's never really given much in the way of his opinion on the Marvel Cinematic Universe. In an interview with Empire Magazine, however, Tarantino spoke about his favourite Marvel movie so far - and it shouldn't come as any surprise, either.

"I started catching up with some of the Marvel movies so I could go see ‘Endgame’. I just finished ‘Captain America: Civil War’, so next up is ‘Doctor Strange.’ Actually, the last one I saw was ‘Ragnarok.’ I loved it. It was my favorite one of the series since ‘The Avengers’ – drastically my favorite," said Tarantino.

He's not wrong, in fairness. 'Thor: Ragnarok' regularly comes up as people's favourite Marvel movie, and it's easy to see why. For one, it's directed by Taika Waititi. You've got the palpable chemistry between Tessa Thompson and Chris Hemsworth, not to mention internet boyfriend Jeff Goldblum in there as well. There's also two-time Oscar-winning actor Cate Blanchett in there as one of the best villains in the whole series, and it's even got Taika Waititi in as a talking rock-man.

In short, this movie has everything and it seems only logical that Quentin Tarantino liked it so much.

'Once Upon A Time In Hollywood' arrives in Irish cinemas on July 26th.
