Leonardo DiCaprio has shared a first look pic of himself and Brad Pitt dressed in character on the set of ‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’, the ninth film from Quentin Tarantino.

The film sees DiCaprio play a struggling former Western TV actor while Pitt plays his long-serving stunt double.

With Pitt wearing double denim and DiCaprio (whose character's name is Rick Dalton) in a combination of brown suit trousers, mustard turtleneck and orange leather jacket the picture perfectly encapsulates the 60s-70s setting of the film.

Per the synopsis, the story takes place in "Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood," and sees the two characters struggle "to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore."

Leo’s character Dalton happens to live next to Sharon Tate, one of Charles Manson's murder victims, who will be played by Margot Robbie.

The cast for the film is massive, as it also includes Burt Reynolds, Emile Hirsch, Kurt Russell, Tim Roth, Timothy Olyphant, Damian Lewis, Dakota Fanning and Luke Perry.

Tarantino and DiCaprio were talking up the film at Sony Pictures’ CinemaCon presentation last April.

‘Once Upon a Time in Hollywood’ is slated for release on August 9th, 2019.
