Batman has returned
The first snap of the actor on the set of the upcoming movie has been shared online.
A leaked photo from the set of 'The Flash' gives us our first glimpse of Michael Keaton returning to his role as Bruce Wayne.
Keaton's third outing as the caped crusader will see him reprise his role nearly 30 years later. The actor played Batman/Bruce Wayne in 'Batman' and 'Batman Returns', while Val Kilmer played the role of Batman in 'Batman Forever' and George Clooney in 'Batman & Robin'. According to reports, DCEU's 'The Flash' will be disregarding those final two outings.
'The Flash' centres on Barry Allen, played by Ezra Miller, and filming is still in full swing in London this week. In the picture you can see below, Michael Keaton has a similar hairstyle to his role in the Tim Burton movies.
The leaked photo from 'The Flash' comes via Big Screen Leaks on Twitter.
The upcoming comic-book movie is believed to be inspired by the crossover event 'Flashpoint', whereby the speedster travel backs in time to save his mother, thus wreaking havoc on the timeline and allowing Keaton's Batman to appear.
Earlier this year, Michael Keaton said he was "really concerned" about his appearance in the movie, due to how rampant COVID in the UK was at the time.
Joining Keaton and Miller for the next DCEU action film will be Ben Affleck, who will also be reprising his role as Batman. Saoirse-Monica Jackson from 'Derry Girls' joined the line-up in an undisclosed role, as did social media influencer Rudy Mancuso. Ron Livingston and Maribel VerdĂș will play The Flash's parents, Henry and Nora Allen, while Kiersey Clemons stars as Iris West. Sasha Calle will also appear, making her debut as Supergirl.
'The Flash' has a November 4, 2022 release date attached to it.
