Everyone's favourite Hollywood star received a very last-minute invitation to a wedding - and he accepted.
Keanu Reeves made a surprise appearance at a Northamptonshire couple’s wedding at the weekend, once again proving he's the nicest man in Hollywood. Or should that be the nicest man, like, ever? Read on and make your own decision.
The 57-year-old star of 'The Matrix' and 'John Wick' franchises happened to be staying at the Fawsley Hall hotel in the South Midlands county recently, the exact same venue as a couple who just got hitched.
Newlywed husband James Roadnight chanced his arm after spotting the A-lister in the bar area of the hotel and, according to his wife Nikki who spoke to Newsweek, he "invited Keanu to come over to say hello and have a drink with us if he wanted to".
The new bride said that because of Keanu's fame, it was probably unlikely that he'd take up their request, adding that nonetheless, it was "cool" her husband had spoken to the "very friendly" man. Later on, however, a staff member approached the couple and said their "very special guest" was here to wish them well.
"It was all very exciting and I went to say hi and introduce myself," Nikki said. "I offered him a drink, but he declined that and said he’d just had a long flight so wouldn’t stay long, but he was so kind and friendly and congratulated us on our wedding.
"He was kind enough to do some pictures, and our wedding photographer was able to capture some too! Then he took the time to speak to some of our guests and have more photos done!"
Hilariously, Nikki's mother Jo appears to be a big Keanu Reeves fan, as while she was taking wedding photos of the occasion she was asking guests to shout "Speed!" in reference to the star's action blockbuster with Sandra Bullock.
Here's the moment the lucky couple met Keanu Reeves on their wedding day.
Reeves has been the long-time hero of our troubled world, oftentimes helping charities, fulfilling 80-year-old women's dreams, and just being an all-round movie star gent.
