Cheese, cheese and more cheese
Catch a glimpse of next year's big Valentine's Day releasewhich hits cinemas in the new year.
Looking to see a movie that is incredibly unlikely, overwhelmingly cheesy and yet something that you're almost certainly going to see in cinemas? Allow us to introduce the 'Marry Me' trailer, based on the graphic novel by Bobby Crosby.
Jennifer Lopez is a triple threat in the romantic comedy, as she plays the lead role while also penning original songs and jumping on board as a producer. The film directed by Kat Coiro ('Girls5Eva', 'She-Hulk') will see Lopez star as Kat Valdez, who is one of the biggest singers at the moment.
As you can see in the trailer below, Kat is half of the "sexiest celebrity power couple on Earth", the girlfriend of "hot new music supernova" Bastian (played by Columbian singer Maluma, who is making his feature-film debut). As Kat and Bastian’s "inescapable" hit single 'Marry Me' climbs the charts, they are about to be wed before an audience of their fans in a ceremony that will be streamed across multiple platforms.
However, moments before she's about to take to the stage, Kat discovers that her boyfriend has been cheating on her with her personal assistant - and so, she heads out on stage and decides a random man in the audience (Owen Wilson) will be the one she marries.
Enter divorced high-school math teacher Charlie Gilbert (Wilson) and his daughter Lou (Chloe Coleman) and best friend (Sarah Silverman), who must adapt to his moment in the global spotlight. Can two people from such different worlds bridge the gulf between them and build a place where they both belong etc etc?
The film also stars John Bradley from 'Game of Thrones', along with stand-up comic Michelle Buteau and Utkarsh Ambudkar ('Mulan').
Here's the 'Marry Me' trailer.
'Marry Me' will be in cinemas on February 11, 2022.
