We can't unsee this now
It's safe to say, we've all watched 'Home Alone' about, I don't know, say, 78 times. However, have you ever noticed anything strange about the McCallister house?
Perhaps that the entire place is decorated with red and green? Yep, Kevin lives in the Christmasiest house of all the houses. From green curtains to a red kitchen, there's even a green phone. And it's not just the furniture, it's the plants too and even Kevin's clothes.
How have we never noticed this before? Probably because we're too busy living our best Christmas lives munching on our selection boxes to pick up on such a detail.
It did not go over the head of Claire Reilly of CNET however, who points it out in a series of tweets:
Look at that wallpaper. What kind of monster has red wallpaper next to a green wall? Offset with contrasting green house plant and red candles? pic.twitter.com/9Lxm1ewfGv

Yes, it's the 90s, but who has a green LANDLINE PHONE? With red, white and green wallpaper? And red flowers hanging from the bed above red pillows? Did they cast Catherine O'Hara purely because of her red hair? This goes all the way to the top... pic.twitter.com/cYv7eTJMKK

But WORST of all is the kitchen. Red pots, green tiles, red teapot, crimson floors, even a green rolling pin. Guys. We all go to the themed sections of IKEA and get ideas, but you're not supposed to do it in real life.
Home Alone: Great movie. Decorator's nightmare.

Okay, one more, just for good measure.
