R-Patz steps into Ben Affleck's boots
Batman is one of the most renowned and beloved superheroes of all time. Many have brought the Caped Crusader to life on the big screen. Next it's Robert Pattinson's turn.
Hopes are high for 'The Batman' which will see director Matt Reeves revamp the character after his last outing, 'Justice League', fared rather poorly.
Reeves previously helmedĀ 'Cloverfield', 'Let Me In', 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes' and 'War for the Planet of the Apes' so he's a solid director.
People are less sure about Robert Pattinson taking on the titular role. After all, he's the fella from 'Twilight'. But the actor has been consistently honing his talents as an actor and chosen a range of roles recently that prove the guy can really act.
Having avoided franchise and blockbuster fodder for a while now, landing the coveted role of Batman was a massive deal.
You may recall how Todd Phillips previously released 'test footage' of Joaquin Phoenix as Joker while the movie was still in production.
Matt Reeves has now pulled a similar move of a camera test for Batman. It doesn't show much, but we're excited nonetheless.
And just look at that jawline.
