Star-Lord is heading to Asgard.
Although 'Thor: Love & Thunder' won't be in cinemas for another two years (hopefully), casting is now underway with this first announcement.
Chris Pratt, who played Peter Quill / Star-Lord in 'Guardians of the Galaxy', its sequel, and 'Avengers: Infinity War', is set to reprise his role in 'Thor: Love & Thunder'. The exact details of his role in the story is as yet unclear, but odds are it'll be more than just a cameo.
The final scenes of 'Avengers: Endgame' saw Thor aboard the Guardians' ship, the Benatar (yes, named after Pat Benatar), heading off with them on new adventures while the title of ruler of Asgard fell to Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson.
Pratt is the latest Chris to join the cast of 'Thor: Love & Thunder', with Chris-tian Bale set to play a role in the movie, alongside Chris Hemsworth reprising his role as Thor. Odds on Chris Evans returning as Captain America are slim, however, seeing as where his character wound up in 'Avengers: Endgame'.
In the meantime, here's Chris Pratt singing along to the 1974 soft rock hit, 'Come And Get Your Love' in the first movie. Here's hoping for more soft rock moments in 'Thor: Love & Thunder'.
