One of the things that marked out 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and its sequel from other comic-book movies was its use of music as a driving force for the story.

Throughout both 'Guardians of the Galaxy' and 'Guardians of the Galaxy, Vol.2', major scenes were punctuated by classics like Fleetwood Mac's 'The Chain', Elvin Bishop's 'Fooled Around And Fell In Love', and of course, Redbone's one and only hit, 'Come And Get Your Love'.

Seeing as how director James Gunn is indoors like the rest of us, he's only gone and posted a Spotify playlist of songs intended for use in but movies but never made it in.

"Some almost made it into the movie," Gunn explains, "and others I always wanted to use but could never find the right place for them."

"Whatever the case, I never intended on sharing these songs, as I might use them in future movies. But I think the need for all of us to have some joyousness in these difficult times outweighs all that. "

All in all, it's a pretty solid playlist. There are absolute belters like 'Wichita Lineman', Lou Reed's 'Satellite of Love', a lot of T-Rex hits including '20th Century Boy' and 'Spaceball Richochet', Patti Smith and even a little bit of Elvis Costello.
