From killer clown to (presumably) assassin
Bill Skarsgård is in talks to join the next chapter of the 'John Wick' franchise. The Swedish actor is best-known for playing Pennywise in the 2017 horror movie 'It' and its sequel 'It Chapter 2.'
Bill Skarsgård's credits also include the series 'Hemlock Grove' and 'Castle Rock', as well as Netflix movie 'The Devil All the Time'.
He also worked with 'John Wick' co-director David Leitch on 'Deadpool 2' and 'Atomic Blonde'.
'John Wick 4' follows Keanu Reeves' titular hitman as he continues on the run without the protection of the enigmatic international assassins guild he was once a valued part of.
Chad Stahelski is returning to direct from a script by Shay Hatten and Michael Finch.
Aside from Bill Skarsgård, another exciting new addition to the cast of Wick's fourth outing is Donnie Yen ('Ip Man, 'Rogue One', 'Mulan').
Yen is said to be playing an old friend of Wick's.
The nature of Bill Skarsgård's character is unknown (though he's probably the bad guy).
'Stowaway's Shamier Anderson and Japanese-British popstar Rina Sawayama have also joined the cast.
It is said that the fourth and fifth 'John Wick' movies will be shot back to back.
Cameras start rolling this summer in France, Germany and Japan.
'John Wick 4' is scheduled for release on May 27, 2022.
