Launching in cinemas soon
More than a full year after its initial release date, we will finally be able to see the John Krasinski horror sequel on the big screen.
Maybe delaying 'A Quiet Place Part II' by a full year was the right call. Or, at least, that's what we're led to believe while watching the final trailer for the horror film.
Initially set to be released on March 19, 2020 (it even managed to have its global premiere in New York City), the movie was then pushed until the end of 2020 before being pushed again until September 2021. Within the past few weeks, however, the horror/thriller starring Emily Blunt and John Krasinski was moved up to May.
The first 'A Quiet Place' was a huge success for first-time director John Krasinski, so naturally anticipation was high for this sequel. But with the year that we've just had, you'll be forgiven if you forgot this follow-up still existed.
The sequel will follow closely behind the ending of the first entry into the franchise, but as we can see in the new trailer there will also be an exploration as to how or why these terrifying and blind creates landed on Earth.
At least we have one movie to look forward to in cinemas - especially one that'll have us screaming in horror. It'll make for a lovely post-apocalyptic viewing experience, no?
Here's the final trailer for the horror film.
'A Quiet Place Part II' will begin to arrive in cinemas in the States from May 28, with an Irish date likely for when cinemas are allowed to reopen here from June 7.
