The majority of the talk shows in the US are on holidays this week as Independence Day approaches and the entire country goes to recreationally blow up some shit, eat poorly cooked meat and get hammered.
Party on, brah.
John Oliver did have a show and last night had a very amusing bit on wax presidents who were put up for auction. We don't want to ruin the bit, but let's just say Oliver (and a heap of famous faces) manages to one-up pals Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart as well as CNBC's Rachel Maddow.
The cameos are genuinely incredible; you have to hand it to this show, they go balls out for these closer segments and HBO obviously back them - that is just fantastic.
