We always wondered if this lady would ever make a return to the Street, as she was part of some of the most controversial storylines the soap has ever known, and considering so much of her family are still there, it's been wide open for her return this long time.

Actress Tina O'Brien who played Gail's daughter Sarah-Lou Platt from 1999 to 2007, will be making her return to Corrie after a 7 year absence from the soap. As we said, for a youngster, Sarah-Lou had quite the weighty storylines on her shoulders, she wasn't even five minutes on the show when she was thrust into the spotlight with a teenage pregnancy. While she was also part of an online stalking tale, car accidents galore, Tricky Dicky was her step-dad and she was involved with both Grimshaw boys at some stage. One of which, Jason (Ryan Thomas), she went out with in real life for six years and has a child with, however they have since split.

Get this though, Sarah-Lou is returning with her now TEENAGE daughter Bethany, that's right folks, Bethany is a teenager, and she is supposed to be quite the handful. Where does the time go?

Tina has said; "I am delighted to be returning. Sarah has a lot of history and unfinished business on the street and I’m looking forward to finding out what she’s been up to and why she’s returned home."

The actress, who just gave birth to baby boy last week, won't be returning for filming until early next year and will arrive in Weatherfield in the spring. Looking forward to seeing the ructions she causes, not only for the Platts, but for the Grimshaws too.

Maybe she'll even make Todd remember he used to be sound...
