For the past ten years, the BD Festival has been a godsend (pun intended) for those at a loose end on Good Friday when there's no pubs open and no gigs to go to.

Taking place at Glendalough House in Co. Wicklow, the BYOB one-day festival offered music fans good craic and good music on one of the quietest days of the year for (public) socialising.

Now that the legislation has been changed for Good Friday 2018, however, that doesn't mean that BD Festival is no more; on March 30th, the likes of house music legend Kerri Chandler, Belgian house DJ The Magician, Perc, Boots & Kats, Fleetmac Wood, Smash Hits and Bingo Loco will entertain the 4,000 souls expected at Glendalough House.

Attendees will still be welcome to BYOB, but this year there will also be a bar service for the first time, alongside the usual food stalls, a food market and a selection of stands selling wellies and other essential festival attire.

There'll be a bus service running from Dublin and announced in due course on Facebook, as well as limited parking and a taxi drop-off point.

Tickets are from €45 not including booking fee and on sale here now.
