The Strokes are officially set to release their fifth album in 2013. Following Seattle 107.7’s Facebook post claiming to have received a new Strokes track entitled "All the Time" the claims have been confirmed by Billboard. The Facebook post also suggested that the radio station will "have to leak this soon."
The album will come two years after the bands 2011 return to music, Angles. This follows reports last summer that the band was in the famous Electric Lady Studios, New York working on new material.
Speaking to NME in July, father of guitarist Albert Hammond Jr, himself a successful singer and songwriter, had this to say "Albert says that the stuff they're doing is incredible. They're doing it themselves with their friend, engineer and producer.”
2013 is really shaping up to be a truly exciting year for music fans.
