Before his death in April, Prince had made his feelings on music streaming known and had discussed his willingness to partner with TIDAL for his his last two albums 'HITnRUN Phase One' and 'HITnRUN Phase Two'.

He told Entertainment Weekly at the time: "The system is old and it doesn’t work anymore. Jay allowed us to pick the artwork, design the page, choose the related content. Why shouldn’t you be allowed to do that when it’s your music, your creation?”

Now, more of his work has been made available on TIDAL, making it the only streaming service where you can hear a large portion of his extensive back catalogue - a huge coup for the Jay Z-owned service.

15 of his albums have been added to the service, which had already included over thirty of his previous and best-known albums.

The new additions include 11 of his own albums, 2 by the New Power Generation (produced by Prince), remix albums and live albums.

Last week, it was revealed that the musician had died as a result of an accidental overdose on opioid painkillers.
