Get ready, Foo Fighters fans. Things are about to get VERY loud.

You'll recall that we brought you news last week about how Dave Grohl was ramping up anticipation for Foo Fighters' next album, posting a brief YouTube video of Grohl screaming 'All Rise!' in his unique, guttural way. After that the band promised to give us some real information regarding the record and, true to their word, the band have released some proper details.

Sonic Highways will be a 44-minute, eight track album which Grohl co-produced with famed knob-twiddler Butch Vig and is due out in the second week of November. Oddly, each of the tracks was recorded in a different studio, in a different city, in America after a plan to record in different countries across the world was deemed "financially impossible" by Grohl.

Speaking in a statement to the media, Grohl said of the album: "This album is instantly recognisable as a Foo Fighters record, but there's something deeper and more musical to it", he said.

"I think that these cities and these people influenced us to stretch out and explore new territory, without losing our 'sound'.

The tracklisting for Foo Fighters' 'Sonic Highways' is:

1. "Something From Nothing"
2. "The Feast and the Famine"
3. "Congregation"
4. "What Did I Do?/God as My Witness"
5. "Outside"
6. "In the Clear"
7. "Subterranean"
8. "I Am a River"
