'What Richard Did' picks up Best Movie at 'The erics'
Lenny Abrahamson may be in New Mexico filming with Michael Fassbender but that didn't stop the What Richard Did director appearing on screen at The erics last night to accept the award for Best Movie.
A few of the lovely lads from the cast, including RAW star Sam Keeley (cheeky fangirl moment, scarleh) came along to collect the award from Love/Hate's Peter Coonan. There were very excited indeed, with Patrick Gibson taking to Twitter to celebrate. 'Can't believe we won best film #sick' he tweeted. We love a bit of enthusiasm!
What Richard Did is based on the book Bad Day in Blackrock, and was a rather popular winner at last night's ceremony. Things just keep going from strength to strength for the Irish flick which has been a hit with the critics. It was released in the UK last week to rave reviews and got more IFTA nominations than you could shake a stick at.
And it got Jack Reynor a role in Transformers 4. Sure what more could you want?
